El Shaddai Church
Even though Dessources is a very impoverished area there is a great hunger for the Lord in the hearts of the people so they met under trees or in front of homes. As El Shaddai Children Home was being built they opened their home to be used as the church. Sunday Schools were held in bedrooms and church services were conducted on porches. As the church was growing, local members began work on an area behind the home which would provide them a place to assemble. While waiting and praying earnestly for their very own church building, they continued to hold Sunday School classes and prayer meetings in bedrooms, dining rooms, and on porches. As the Lord heard their prayers in April 2007 he established El Shaddai Church.
Over the past several years the area has been transformed into a beautiful church. Services are held several times a week, as well as providing a place for teams to conduct conferences for pastors, men, women, couples, youth, and children . This lighthouse has not only continued to provide for weddings and baptisms but it has also become a center location from which the body of Christ is reaching out into the community of Dessource. We are so thankful for the mighty work the Lord is doing daily. Please continue to pray for the Christians of Dessources and that others will be saved as the work of the Lord is continued in this area.
