In June 2007, Kelly and Elizabeth began working with El Shaddai Children Home in Dessources, Haiti.  While in Haiti, they were drawn to the faces of the children who  longed to attend school.  They noticed that while many children were in school there were even more children who were unable to attend.  Parents must pay a tuition, buy uniforms, and purchase books for their child to have the privilege of attending school.  Because most people in Haiti live in abject poverty, providing education can mean no food for a family.
 
It was then that Kelly and Elizabeth felt led to establish a ministry to help with education.  In the spring of 2008, Hearts with Hope for Haiti (HHH) was founded as a ministry to help promote and stabilize education for the children.  HHH is a ministry dedicated completely to the work of the Lord.  HHH sponsors the Leadership Conference each year that is held for educators; both Directors and Teachers.   The Lord has also opened an opportunity for HHH to help working mothers as they work to provide the needs for their children each day.  To date, four women have been able to enhance their businesses because of  generous  donations to HHH.  They have also had the privilege of  digging wells and  helping in other areas as
the Lord opens the door.  Kelly & Elizabeth trust God to provide every need and believe He will sustain and expand the ministry as He desires in His perfect timing.

Also since June 2007, Elizabeth has been ministering full-time in Haiti with El Shaddai Ministries as a missionary and assistant to Marie Prinvil.  She stays in Haiti for about nine months each year, returning home after each three-month period.  What joy it is to serve the Lord with this ministry in Dessources!
